Who this applies to

Band Secretary is a private pilot for school band directors. This policy covers directors who use the Band Secretary website and text messaging service.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and sign-in details.
• Your mobile phone number, when you choose to connect it to your account.
• The content you give us: instrument inventory you import, notes, and feedback you send by web or text.
• Basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service (for example, the time a text was received and the reply sent). We do not keep the full text of messages you send unless you ask us to save it as a note or feedback.

We ask you not to send student names, grades, or other student records.

How we use it

To run the service you asked for: answering your texts, saving your notes, looking up your own inventory, and keeping your account secure. We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.

Text messaging

You choose to connect your phone by requesting a code on our website and texting it to our number. Message frequency varies and depends on how often you text us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts and HELP for help.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.

Who we share with

We use service providers to operate the product: Supabase (database and hosting of our backend), Vercel (website hosting), and Twilio (carrying text messages). They process data only to provide those services for us. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

You can disconnect your phone at any time on the Text me page, or ask us to delete your account and data by emailing support@aspiretechdev.com.

Security

We use access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure.
